ALL pre-requisites are required of ALL applicants regardless of college courses taken or degrees held.  Prerequisites are considered minimum qualifications for admission.  Scores, etc which exceed the minimum will earn the applicant bonus points towards admission into the program.

  1. Completed GCCC Application (Admissions office)
  2. Completed Health Sciences Application (Division of Health Science)
  3. High School Diploma or Equivalent (Official transcript to admissions)
  4. College Entry Level Placement Test or equivalent college credit:
    English:   83 or ENC 1101 with a "C" or better
    Reading:  83 or ENC 1101 with a "C" or better
    Algebra:  72 or MAT 0024 with a "C" or better
  5. Extra points will be granted towards admission to those applicants who have documented greater than 30 hours of observation/volunteer or work experience in physical therapy.  A Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant must verify the observation or work experience (a copy of the Physical Therapy Experience form is included in the PTA application). Please contact Craig Wise or Holly Gunning for a list of clinics that accept volunteersYou are not restricted to this list of clinics.
  6. College GPA (if applicable)
    Official transcripts sent to Admissions
  7. Technical Standards Form
  8. Extra credit is given for completion of Anatomy & Physiology I (BSC 2085 & BSC 2085L) prior to the application deadline (enrollment in the spring semester will qualify for extra points.

IT IS THE APPLICANT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT PROOF OF ALL PREREQUISITES
IS SUBMITTED PRIOR TO THE DEADLINE.
